Sometimes even the best plans go awry and even the best estate plans lead to litigation.
If you are a trustee of a trust who is being sued by a beneficiary, you may need help to show the Court that you are fulfilling your responsibilities as trustee. Or, if you have been ordered by the Court to complete an accounting, you may need help to put that together to meet Court requirements.
If you are a beneficiary of an estate or trust who is concerned that you aren't getting full information or updates from the trustee, or you believe that the trustee is concealing information from you, or you believe that the trustee has violated their fiduciary duty to you, you may have recourse through the courts. But, filing a lawsuit can be complicated and you may wish to have a lawyer to make sure that your rights as a beneficiary are being protected.
In litigation, I take a settlement focused approach that prioritizes getting the client relief as quickly as possible rather than going to trial. But, settlement is not always possible, and I am always prepared to go to trial if necessary.
